The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the company may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way, and sometimes less, if we've negotiated a deal we can show you.
What commissions never change
- Scores and verdicts.
- Which tools we recommend, or the order of a list.
- What we say about a tool's problems, prices or the people it's wrong for.
When a tool with no affiliate programme is the better choice, we recommend it anyway.
Independence
The Engine Room is an independent publication. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official channel of any company we review. Product names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products being reviewed.
Offers and discounts
We only mention a discount or extended trial when the company has given it to us to share. Any bonus we offer for signing up through our links comes from The Engine Room, not from the tool's maker, and is labelled that way.
