The short answer

For most people making paid social ads, Higgsfield is the better buy: better-looking output, far more models under one subscription, public pricing and no strings on how you use what you make. Arcads earns its place if you need long talking-actor videos in lots of languages and you're happy to work inside its stricter licence.

Our pick

Choose Higgsfield if you want UGC-style ads, hooks and b-roll that look good, from one subscription, and freedom to edit the results however you like.

Try Higgsfield

Choose Arcads if your ads are long talking-head videos (1–5 minutes) or you need one script voiced in dozens of languages.

Try Arcads

Our setup, so you know where this comes from: we’ve paid for Higgsfield for over a year and use it every week, mainly for UGC-style talking ads plus hooks and b-roll. We tried Arcads on a short trial. So the Higgsfield side of this page is long-term, hands-on experience. The Arcads side is our trial plus Arcads’ own pricing, help centre and terms, all checked on 19 October 2026 and linked below.

Output quality: why we use Higgsfield

The reason Higgsfield is our daily tool is simple: the output looks better. For UGC-style ads the first second decides everything. If the face, the movement or the lip-sync looks off, people scroll, and Higgsfield is consistently the one we trust to get past that.

A big part of that is choice. Higgsfield puts a long list of video models in one place: Kling, Veo, Sora, Seedance, Wan, MiniMax Hailuo and its own models (full list). It also has several lip-sync options, up to 4K on video-to-video sync (lip-sync guide). When one model makes hands look strange or a face drift, you switch to another without leaving the tool or paying for a second subscription. For hooks and b-roll, that range is the whole game.

Arcads now offers many of the same third-party models too (its model list), but in our trial the product felt built around one job, talking actors, and narrower for the money. It’s worth noting where reviewers land: Arcads’ most common complaints on Trustpilot are glitchy or unnatural lip-sync and credits burned on re-renders, and its refund policy explicitly excludes poor output quality.

Winner: Higgsfield.

What it actually costs

Higgsfield publishes its prices (pricing page, checked 19 October 2026, prices exclude VAT):

Plan Credits / month Yearly billing Monthly billing
Plus 1,200 $47/mo not shown to us
Ultra 3,000 (up to 9,000) $99/mo $129/mo
Teams from 1,000 per seat from $65 per seat n/a

Higgsfield’s own estimate is that 1,200 credits is roughly 80 Seedance 2.5 videos or 600 Nano Banana Pro images. Paid plans also come with some free generations and short “unlimited” windows on certain models. Credits reset every month and don’t roll over, and failed generations are refunded automatically.

Arcads doesn’t publish prices. Its help centre lists plans by credits (Starter 8,000, Creator 16,000, Pro 48,000, Scale 96,000, Business 192,000 a month) and says the price is shown in the app. It also says Arcads tests new pricing, so what you see may differ from what someone else sees. A third-party snapshot from August 2026 put Starter at $110 a month list ($77 on promotion) and Creator at $220 ($154). Treat those as a guide, not a quote.

Credits aren’t comparable between the two tools, so here’s what Arcads charges per output from its own table: 800 credits for a talking-actor video, 800 for an 8-second Veo 3.1 clip, and 210 for a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip. On Starter, that’s about ten talking-actor videos a month.

Winner: Higgsfield, mainly for transparency. You can see the price before you sign up.

The licence: the difference most reviews skip

If you run ads, read this part. What you’re allowed to do with the videos matters as much as how they look.

  • Higgsfield doesn’t claim ownership of your inputs or outputs, and its terms don’t restrict commercial use (source). You can’t use outputs to train AI models, and you’re responsible for third-party rights such as likeness and IP.
  • Arcads grants a non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable licence for each video (terms). Only a set list of edits is allowed (crop, music, subtitles, logo) without written approval. You can’t run the videos through other AI tools that change the image, voice or speech. If an actor withdraws consent, you have to take their videos down. Arcads may also use your scripts and prompts to train its models.

If your workflow is generate, then cut, recolour, re-voice or remix in another tool, Higgsfield’s terms fit it. Arcads’ don’t.

Winner: Higgsfield.

Ease of use: Arcads is simpler

This is Higgsfield’s weak spot, and it’s the honest downside we’d warn a friend about: there’s a real learning curve. So many models, modes and studios means it takes a while to learn which model to use for which shot, and you’ll burn credits while you figure it out. Marketing Studio’s templates (paste a product link and it pulls in the product and brand) shorten that, but expect a few weeks before it feels quick.

Arcads is more focused: pick an actor, paste a script, generate. If you only ever need talking heads, that simplicity is a real advantage.

Winner: Arcads.

Trials, refunds and cancelling

Higgsfield Arcads
Try it free Free tier, limited models, watermarked 72-hour trial, 1,000 credits, card needed, rolls into Starter
Refunds First purchase only, within 7 days, zero credits used, up to 6% fee Within 30 days if zero credits used that period, plus a one-time 24-hour courtesy refund

Both have Trustpilot complaints about unexpected renewals, so set a reminder before any trial or annual plan renews. Sources: Higgsfield refunds, Arcads refunds, Arcads trial.

Who should pick which

  • Coach, consultant or course creator running lead-gen ads: Higgsfield. Short UGC-style ads and hooks are exactly what it’s best at.
  • E-commerce brand testing lots of angles: Higgsfield, for model choice and the freedom to edit and remix the output.
  • Talking-head explainers over a minute long, or one script in many languages: Arcads. Longer talking-actor videos and lots of languages are its strength.
  • Total beginner who wants the fewest decisions: Arcads is simpler on day one. Higgsfield pays back the learning time if you’ll be making ads every week.

The verdict

If you make paid social ads, start with Higgsfield. The output quality is the reason we’ve stayed for over a year, the pricing is public, and you can do what you like with what it makes. Budget a few weeks to learn which model to use for what. Pick Arcads only if long talking-actor videos or heavy translation is the core of what you do, and read its licence first.

Frequently asked questions

Is Higgsfield or Arcads better for UGC ads?

For short UGC-style ads, hooks and b-roll, Higgsfield. It's what we use every week and the output quality is the reason. Arcads is better suited to longer talking-actor videos: its Arcads 1.0 actors run up to 2 minutes, and its audio-driven models up to 5.

How much do Higgsfield and Arcads cost?

Higgsfield's Plus plan is $47 a month billed yearly for 1,200 credits, and Ultra is $99 a month yearly or $129 monthly for 3,000 credits (prices exclude VAT; checked 19 October 2026). Arcads doesn't publish prices outside its app. Third-party snapshots put its Starter plan (8,000 credits) at around $77–110 a month, so check the in-app price before you commit.

Does Higgsfield or Arcads have a free trial?

Higgsfield has a free tier on a limited set of models, with a watermark on everything you make. Arcads has a 72-hour trial with 1,000 credits; it needs a card and rolls into the Starter plan automatically unless you cancel.

Can I use Arcads or Higgsfield videos in paid ads?

Yes, both allow commercial use, but on different terms. Higgsfield doesn't claim ownership of your outputs and doesn't restrict commercial use. Arcads gives you a non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable licence, limits how you can edit the videos, and bans putting them through other AI tools.

What's the catch with Higgsfield?

The learning curve. There are so many models and modes that it takes a while to learn which one to use for which shot. Credits also go faster than you expect while you're learning, and annual plans aren't refunded pro rata.
